Sometimes we leave the hospital

Last week, we had a journal club. Our journal clubs are a little different. Yes, we do article reviews, but sometimes we just like hanging out. So these meetings can range from being super serious academic primary lit discussions to just grabbing a nice dinner and enjoying each other's company. Sometimes we'll even do really fun activities like karaoke, rent-out-a-theater and watch a movie, or play laser tag battles, just to name a few. It just depends which attending is hosting. This month we went to a nice restaurant and enjoyed some delicious food and wine. There's nothing like happy full tummies to help you forget about the enormous amount of stress you face on the daily. It's also nice to hang out with attendings (especially the scary ones) outside of the hospital. Makes them more human...ish.
